Graduate Teaching Opportunity- Pedagogical Intern and Relief Teacher 2026 Are you ready to begin your vocation as a Waldorf Teacher? The ‘Waldorf Pedagogical Intern and Relief Teacher’ role is designed for a recently graduated or early-career teacher committed to developing their professional practice within Waldorf Education. This position offers a unique opportunity to deepen understanding of Waldorf/Steiner pedagogy through a focused internship in the Primary School (Classes 1–6) , while providing valuable service as a Relief Teacher across the whole school (Early Childhood to Class 12) as required. The position is one-year fixed term 0.8 FTE Relief Teaching (an average of 4 days per week) and 0.2 FTE Education Support Officer (ESO) (varied from week to week depending on relief requirements and camp schedule, but a minimum of 9 days per term). Supported Internship Study will take the form of professional development, study, mentoring and coaching during ESO time. The Pedagogical Internship/Relief Teacher role gives a new graduate a year of experience in a Steiner School, being mentored by experienced teachers and leaders whilst also gaining classroom experience across a variety of age groups. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced teachers, receive regular mentoring, and participate in the full life of the school—including faculty meetings, seasonal festivals, and school camps.
