Backend Lead Engineer - (Hyderabad, Onsite) Location: Hyderabad (Onsite)Experience Level: 4–8 yearsJoin Type: Immediate joiners preferredPreferred Background: Previous experience in startupsAbout the Role We’re looking for a Backend Lead Engineer to lead and scale our backend systems and services. You’ll play a key role in architecting reliable, high-performance solutions and mentoring a small but growing backend team. If you’re hands-on, passionate about technology, and thrive in a fast-moving startup environment — this role is for you.Key Responsibilities Lead and mentor a team of backend engineers, ensuring code quality, efficiency, and alignment with best practices.Architect, design, and implement scalable backend systems using Type Script and Node.js.Drive system design discussions, enforce design patterns , and establish coding standards.Manage Postgre SQL databases — including schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning.Collaborate closely with product managers, frontend engineers, and Dev Ops teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.Participate in code reviews, system architecture discussions, and sprint planning.Ensure robust testing and observability practices (unit, integration, and monitoring).Lead by example — remain hands-on with code, especially for complex or high-impact features.Required Skills & Qualifications 4+ years of professional backend development experience, with at least 1–2 years in a technical lead or senior developer capacity.Strong expertise in Type Script and Node.js.Solid understanding of Postgre SQL , relational database design, and query optimization.Strong grasp of software design principles and patterns (SOLID, Clean Architecture, etc.).Proven experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs and distributed systems.Ability to mentor junior engineers , conduct code reviews, and uphold engineering excellence.Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.Good to Have Working knowledge of Go (Golang).Experience working in a startup environment or scaling systems from scratch.Exposure to Redis , Kafka , or message-driven architectures.Familiarity with Docker , Kubernetes , or cloud deployments (AWS/GCP/Azure).Why Join Us?
