Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, and other related technologies.
  • Perform code analysis, debugging, and performance tuning of mainframe applications.
  • Understand and translate business requirements into technical specifications and deliverables.
  • Participate in system testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
  • Support production systems by identifying and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, job flows, and data dictionaries.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, testers, and infrastructure teams.
  • Assist in the modernization of legacy systems and migration efforts when applicable.
  • Ensure compliance with security, audit, and regulatory standards.
  • Provide on-call support and participate in incident resolution and root cause analysis as needed.
  • COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, MVS, Endeavor ISPF, TSO, CICS, Control-M, and basic IBM utilities
