Job DescriptionA team member who is self-motivated and dynamic, willing to take on multiple secretarial challenges in a fast paced environment, a team player with a strong legalacumen and a sense of professional integrity, great with interpersonal, organisational and communication skillsand capable of bringing innovative ideas while approaching legal challenges.
Roles and ResponsibilitiesDrafting, negotiating, preparing, vetting, and reviewing terms of variouscomplex business, non-commercial and commercial contracts, including but not limited to software licenses agreements, NDAs, distributor agreements, research collaboration agreements, specific study agreements, serviceagreements, letters of intent, vendor agreements, employment agreements etc., across multiplejurisdictions.Providing legal advice and support to the company on general corporate law issues, advising company management on day-to-day affairs, policy matters, and managing legal issues arising in different areas of the company, including but not limited to corporate matters, international commercial law, disputes, IP laws, etc.Ensure ESG compliance and assist the ESG managerin setting up andimplementing the ESG framework including laying down the ESG road map and implementation of the sameLiaising and coordinating with external counsel and authorities, in relation tolegal and compliance matters of Company and communicating the opinions and advice receivedfrom external counseland authorities to internal stakeholders.Managing the Intellectual Propertyportfolio of the organisation.Liaising with the Data Protection Officer with various data protection related matters,including drafting, reviewingand negotiating Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) and responding to queries received from internal and external stakeholders.Being familiarwith applicable laws and regulations related to IP, open-source, etc.Advising Company’sHR on employment matters, reviewand revise Companypolicies and processes to support the Company's operation and growth, ensuring that the Company fulfils its legal and statutoryand requirements.Research and drafting for legal and other matters,creating workflows,playbooks and trackers to improveteam processes.Managing overall legal, secretarial compliance of the organisation and its subsidiaries.Assisting with such other tasks including administrative tasks, conducting extensive legal research, and presenting summaries and legal implications with the view of resolving legal issues in an effective manner.
Skills and ExpertiseBachelor’s degree in law from a reputed law school.Excellent legal and businessjudgment.Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all stakeholders.
OtherConsiderationsAbility to balance legal and businessneeds, to assess appropriate risks and make decisions.Meticulous and organised, with excellent communication, strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to collaborativeworking.Driven, focused, and passionate to support the growth of a healthcare provider with an acute understanding of the fast-paced environment and highlydemanding legal work in a healthcare sector.Demonstrable abilityto grasp technical legal issues/concepts, be it Indianlaws or international laws, guidelines and regulations.Demonstrable abilityto display sound and independent judgement and act with prudenceand maturity.Ability to define and address issues despiteambiguity.Previous experience in managerial, supervisory, or leadership capacity.Excellent research and draftingskills.Eye for detail.Problem solving and analytical skills.Ability to prioritise and work simultaneously on multiple projects with efficient time management.Team player with ability to effortlessly manage a team and effortlessly coordinate across other teams.Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all stakeholders including leadership.Good exposureto general corporatelaw as well as a strong familiarity with commercial and business contracts.Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications (to include Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).
