Sales Engineer

The Sales Engineer serves as the technical liaison between the company and its customers, leveraging technical knowledge and sales expertise to meet customer needs. This role involves understanding customer specifications, preparing accurate quotations, and following up to secure order closures.
Key Responsibilities:Customer Interaction & Requirement AnalysisUnderstand and interpret customer requirements, technical specifications, and needs.Collaborate with customers to define the best solutions that align with their business goals.Provide technical advice and product education during customer meetings.Quotation PreparationPrepare detailed and accurate quotations based on customer specifications.Ensure all technical and commercial aspects are addressed in the proposal.Work closely with the engineering, production, and finance teams to finalize cost estimates.Follow-Up & NegotiationEngage in regular follow-ups with customers to address queries and provide additional information.Negotiate terms and conditions to secure order closures.Track the progress of proposals and update internal systems accordingly.Sales Support & Order ManagementAssist in converting proposals into confirmed orders.Liaise with the project and operations teams to ensure smooth order execution.Maintain strong post-sale relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and identify future opportunities.
Key Skills & Competencies:Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand complex specifications.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proven ability to negotiate and close deals.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, or related fields preferred).Experience in sales or customer-facing technical roles is a plus.Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite.
