2. Job Purpose

The AI Engineer will be a foundational member of the team responsible for building
TAPTEC AI
, our proprietary, multi-layered AI-powered proctoring system. The entire integrity and value proposition of BrainBucks rests on this system's ability to ensure a fair, secure, and cheat-proof environment for millions of users. This role is central to developing the core technology that guarantees a win on our platform is a verifiable testament to a student's skill.

3. Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of the machine learning models that power TAPTEC AI. Key duties include:

• Real-time Audio-Visual Monitoring:
• Develop and optimize computer vision models for
  facial recognition
  (to verify the test-taker),
  gaze tracking
  (to detect when a user is looking away), and
  multi-face detection
  .
• Implement and train algorithms for
  human speech detection
  and analysis from microphone input to flag potential unauthorized assistance.
• Behavioral & Anomaly Detection:
• Design and implement models to analyze user behavior patterns, such as unusual response times, suspicious keyboard/mouse activity, and other digital anomalies.
• Create and refine a robust anomaly detection system that can accurately flag and score potentially fraudulent behavior for review while minimizing false positives.
• System Integration & Performance:
• Collaborate with the backend engineering team to integrate ML models into a scalable, low-latency production environment on Microsoft Azure.
• Conduct continuous research, testing, and iteration to improve the accuracy, efficiency, and robustness of the TAPTEC AI engine.

4. Qualifications & Skills

Required:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or a related engineering field.
• A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience building and deploying machine learning and deep learning models in a live production environment.
• Expert proficiency in
  Python
  and its core data science libraries (NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn).
• Deep, practical experience with modern ML frameworks such as
  TensorFlow
  or
  PyTorch
  .
• Demonstrable experience in
  Computer Vision
  using libraries like
  OpenCV
  , with a portfolio of projects in image classification, object detection, or facial analysis.
• Experience with deploying and managing models on cloud platforms (preferably
  Azure
  ).

Preferred:

• A PhD in a relevant field is a plus.
• Familiarity with data engineering pipelines and MLOps principles.
• A problem-solving mindset with a passion for tackling complex, open-ended challenges.
• A self-starter who demonstrates strong ownership and the ability to drive a project from concept to completion.
