Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, evaluate, and develop denim and woven fabric suppliers
  • Source new fabric qualities, trends, and sustainable options in line with buyer requirements and seasonal needs.
  • Negotiate cost, lead time, minimum order quantities (MOQs), and payment terms with mills/vendors.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of denim and woven fabric trends, innovations, and finishing techniques.
  • Monitor and ensure supplier compliance with quality, testing, and sustainability standards.
  • Work closely with merchandising, design, and production teams to support fabric requirements.
  • Manage fabric bookings, track orders, and ensure on-time deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate fabric library, vendor database, and price records.
  • Support cost optimization and continuous improvement initiatives in sourcing.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of denim and woven fabrics, constructions, finishes, and washes.
  • Vendor management and negotiation skills.
  • Understanding of fabric testing standards and quality requirements.
  • Knowledge of sustainable fabrics and eco-friendly sourcing practices.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and coordination skills.
