As a Team Manager, you will take ownership of core accounting functions, including overseeing the maintenance of accurate financial records, managing reconciliations, and ensuring timely month-end and year-end closings. A key focus will be implementing best practices for financial accuracy and efficiency, training a skilled team, and fostering a collaborative work environment. You will utilize advanced IT systems such as Oracle NetSuite, for which comprehensive training will be provided. Close collaboration with our Danish team will ensure a smooth knowledge transfer and alignment with EG’s global finance strategies. You will work closely with the Group Controlling Team, ensuring optimal division of tasks between the two teams and smooth corporation, ensuring high accounting quality and effective month-end closing processes.  This role is ideal for a results-driven leader with a deep understanding of general ledger processes, a passion for optimization, and the ability to inspire and manage a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Your Workday and Tasks : Your key responsibilities include:  Establishing the General Ledger function in India by transitioning processes from Denmark and aligning them with global standards.  Managing core General Ledger tasks, including journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and intercompany transactions.  Leading the month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.  Recruiting, training, and mentoring a team of General Ledger Specialists.  Developing and implementing efficient workflows to enhance accuracy and reduce closing timelines.  Collaborating with IT and other shared service teams to ensure seamless ERP system integration and process optimization.  Supporting audits by preparing necessary documentation and ensuring compliance with IFRS and other relevant standards.  Managing the employees, 1-1 conversations and employee Growth plans. Responsibilities : Drive the establishment of a robust General Ledger function in India, with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.  Ensure proper maintenance of financial records, account reconciliations, and reporting.  Oversee month-end and year-end closings, meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.  Foster a culture of continuous improvement, regularly reviewing and optimizing processes.  Develop a strong, motivated team by leading recruitment, training, and mentoring efforts.  Collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with global finance goals.  You are the ideal candidate if :   Fluent in English with excellent communication skills, both spoken and written. Highly experienced in Accounting, General Ledger processes, including reconciliations, closings, and financial reporting. Familiar with accounting standards such as IFRS and adept at ensuring compliance.  Skilled in ERP systems and their integration into finance operations. Super user in Excel. Analytical, with a strong attention to detail and the ability to identify trends and insights into financial data. Experienced in managing teams, with a proven track record of leadership in international or shared service environments.
