The General Accounting Record to Report (R2R) Analyst is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of the organization's financial records. This role involves managing end-to-end R2R processes including journal entries, reconciliations, month-end closing, reporting, and compliance with accounting standards and internal policies. The position works closely with other finance teams (P2P, O2C, FP&A) and supports both local and global accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. General Accounting & Month-End Close

  • Perform journal entries, accruals, and adjustments in line with GAAP / IFRS and company policy.
  • Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Review and analyze trial balances to detect and resolve discrepancies.

2. Reconciliation & Reporting

  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations (e.g., cash, fixed assets, intercompany, accruals).
  • Generate and analyze financial statements and management reports.
  • Ensure timely submission of financial data to corporate systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, BlackLine).
  • Support variance analysis and provide commentary on key financial movements.

3. Compliance & Controls

  • Ensure compliance with SOX controls, internal policies, and external audit requirements.
  • Maintain documentation for audit and internal review purposes.
  • Support external and internal audits by providing required schedules and explanations.

4. Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to streamline R2R processes and enhance automation.
  • Participate in process standardization, transition, and system implementation initiatives.
  • Support training and knowledge-sharing within the accounting team.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, CMA preferred).
  • 2–5 years of experience in general accounting or R2R operations (shared service experience a plus).
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP / IFRS).
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or equivalent).
  • Advanced Excel and reporting tool skills (e.g., Power BI, BlackLine).
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical mindset, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
