Overview :

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst with expertise in Axiom Tool and finance knowledge. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, a thorough understanding of financial data, and the ability to manage and interpret complex datasets to support our regulatory reporting and financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

**Data Analytics/System Orientation:**

- **SQL Proficiency:**

- Ability to read, write, and interpret complex SQL queries.

- Strong understanding of SQL concepts, including case statements, joins, subqueries, etc.

- **Data Lineage Documentation:**

- Trace and document data lineage from source systems to final regulatory reports.

- **Data Transformation & Analysis:**

- Transform, analyze, and summarize data using Excel, dashboards, or reporting tools.

- Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and other advanced functions.

- **Quality Assurance:**

- Perform QA testing for system enhancements and updates; collaborate effectively with technology partners.

- **System Configuration:**

- Execute system configuration changes for month-end, quarter-end, or in response to ad hoc requests.

- **Data Integration:**

- Knowledge and/or experience with data integration tools.

- **Additional Technical Skills:**

- Familiarity with Python, Power BI, Automation Anywhere or other Robotic Process Automation tools, Frontier, Hyperion, or Axiom is a plus.

**Accounting/Finance Knowledge:**

- **Financial Statements:**

- General knowledge of bank balance sheets and P&L statements.

- **GAAP Reporting:**

- General understanding of GAAP reporting standards.

- **Reconciliation:**

- Ability to reconcile and validate financial data across various systems and reports.

- **Documentation:**

- Document procedures, validations, and testing processes.

- Prepare workpapers to support regulatory filings.

**Other Desired Skills:**

- **Communication:**

- Strong communication skills to explain complex data, technology, and business concepts to diverse audiences.

- **Project Management:**

- Ability to manage projects, working both independently and within a team.

- **Critical Thinking:**

- Strong critical thinking skills to solve complex problems.

Education:

- A degree in Finance, Accounting, Technology/Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field is preferred.


Required Experience:

- Proven experience in data analytics, financial analysis, and regulatory reporting.

- Hands-on experience with Axiom tool and financial systems.
