Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in driving business growth by targeting major clients in the Lithium Battery / Automobile industries, generating and converting leads, and managing a sales team. You will be responsible for identifying opportunities in the South Region, building relationships with key OEMs, and ensuring that business goals are met. The role also involves marketing the company’s products and expanding its presence in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Target Major Clients: Identify and target key clients in the Lithium Battery or Automobile sectors, including large OEMs and other high-value companies in the South Region.
Lead Generation: Actively generate leads through a mix of visits, cold calling, and networking. Build a strong pipeline of prospects and convert them into viable business opportunities.
Sales Conversion: Take ownership of the sales process, from lead generation to closing deals. Ensure conversion of leads into signed contracts and secure long-term partnerships.
Marketing & Product Promotion: Work closely with the marketing team to promote the company’s products and services to new and existing clients. Effectively communicate the value proposition and differentiate the company’s offerings.
Team Leadership: Supervise and guide the sales team, setting targets, providing coaching, and ensuring team members achieve their individual and collective sales goals.
Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in the industry to foster loyalty, secure repeat business, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Market Research: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new opportunities and refine business strategies.
Reporting & Analytics: Track and report on sales performance, pipeline status, and market trends. Provide regular updates to senior management.
Key Requirements: Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in business development or sales, with a proven track record in lead generation, sales conversion, and managing a sales team.Industry Experience: Preferably from the Lithium Battery or Automobile industry. Candidates with experience targeting OEMs or other large companies will be highly preferred.Educational Qualification: B.Tech in Electrical or Electronics & Communication Engineering or a related field.
Skills:
Strong communication and negotiation skills.Ability to build relationships and engage with senior-level decision-makers.Knowledge of the sales cycle, from lead generation to closing.
Leadership skills to manage and guide a sales team effectively.Strong understanding of the South Indian market dynamics and business culture.
Self-motivated and target-driven individual with a strategic mindset.
Travel: Willingness to travel extensively within the South Region for client meetings, networking events, and site visits.
Preferred Attributes:
Experience in the Lithium Battery or Automobile sectors.
Knowledge of OEM sales processes and large-scale contract negotiations.
Proficiency in CRM software and sales tools.
