The O pportunity

We design and operate leading digital payment and transactional solutions that enable sustainable economic growth and reinforce trust and security in our societies. We are looking for a talented and results-driven Application Engineer to join our team and focus on troubleshooting POS (point of sale) transactions & Onboarding-related issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both business operations and technical solutions, particularly in the area of terminal and onboarding systems. The Application Engineer will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance and optimize terminal and onboarding processes, leveraging technical solutions to improve business efficiency and effectiveness.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities ​

Analyze current terminal and onboarding processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement. Requirement management: collect, review, validate, analyze, specify and document customer and internal requirements; Define high-level and detailed functional designs allowing developers to build and deliver quality code. This includes supporting projects from beginning to end as functional and application specialists for the solutions. Work closely with product management, software architecture and management in order to create a product that fits the company portfolio. Focus on troubleshooting POS (point of sale) transactions and Onboarding-related issues. Develop and present recommendations for improving terminal and onboarding processes through technology and process enhancements Develop scope and define backlog items (epics/features/user stories) that guide the Agile software development team. Support the Agile team with the story estimates and sequencing Build and maintain the team backlog, including the user stories, enablers and defects Define and validate acceptance criteria (based on Definition of Ready & Definition of Done) and evaluate the Sprint result based on that Participate in testing and validation of new solutions to ensure seamless integration and functionality Assure conceptual and technical integrity of the Product Features is kept at all time Define and prioritize requirements for new terminal systems and onboarding solutions Acquire and maintain a solid knowledge of the technologies used for our product development

8+ overall work experience as an Application Engineer in IT services and software development, with the majority of it being in the area of electronic payments University degree (master/bachelor) in computer science or similar qualification High level of Quality paired with Service Oriented Mindset Linux knowledge as User, .Net and Java reading capabilities for Analysis purposes and SQL reading and writing capabilities combined with basis shell scripting capabilities Structured and analytical way of working and distinct ability to do presentations Strong team player able to listen and communicate at eye level with all stakeholders and team members Ability to work with cross-functional teams to deliver on a common goal. Ability to work in dynamic situations with short timelines and strict deadlines Good experience in Agile/Scrum in a complex and international environment Knowledge about payment domain and/or Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment would be beneficial Knowledge of the schema protocol Visa Mastercard Iso would be an advantage
