Job Description

This is a remote position.We are transforming India through volunteering with a vision of making volunteering a national habit. We are looking for someone passionate about promoting a strong culture of volunteerism and civic responsibility among the citizens and particularly youth from colleges.

The Senior Manager, Bhumi Club (Colleges) will spearhead Bhumi’s movement of making volunteering a national habit in colleges and be responsible for setting up Bhumi Clubs in a sustainable way in colleges across the country. Also, for strategizing and managing the programme nationally to scale the programme 10x over the next 2-3 years.

Primary Responsibilities include:

Promoting a strong culture of volunteerism and civic responsibility among colleges and college students in India

Increase volunteer activation in colleges and among college students through collaboration with colleges, college management, students and student leaders

Lead, coach, nurture employees and volunteer coordinators into a high-performance team.

Build systems, culture, and the team (employees and volunteers) to support the programme with a focus on continuous learning, improvement, and rapid growth (10x over 2-3 years).

Engage all stakeholders in shaping shared goals, strategies for the programme to maximise impact & reach

Consistent evaluation of the program and its framework to ensure sustainable, accelerated movement towards the vision of Making Volunteering a National Habit among college students.

Preferred Education Qualification / Experience:Minimum three years’ experience in project management and team management is mandatory

Prior experience in leading volunteer-centric projects and volunteer management is preferred

Prior volunteering experience is mandatory

Excellent track record of effectively leading and regionally and/or nationally scaling a performance- and outcomes-based project

Excellence in project management with the ability to coach staff, manage and develop high-performance teams, set and achieve strategic objectives, and manage a budget

Prior experience in the non-profit sector would be an advantage

Any Graduate

Strong written and verbal communication skills; a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent interpersonal and multidisciplinary project skills

Emotional maturity to empathize with the perspectives/needs of team members

Strong IT skills and aptitude for adoption of digital technology

Highly resourceful team player, who is self-driven

Willingness to travel – locally and nationally

Scope: Full-time, Willing to work flexible hours
