What does a successful Senior Engineer – Cloud Native Engineering do at Fiserv? The GBS Omnichannel Commerce Senior Engineer- Cloud Native Engineering is an opportunity to be part of a delivery team that is building the Commerce Hub platform. A true single-entry point and intelligent orchestration layer provides access to the latest, most popular commerce experiences through merchants' existing infrastructure. With less ongoing maintenance and fewer operational costs, merchants can focus on creating new ways for consumers to discover and interact with them. What you will do: Serve as key expert on Cloud native Development practices. Experience owning infrastructure in production, as well as designing and creating build/deploy & monitoring systems. Develop Spring Boot and/or Python or Node Application Be the Technical Lead for a Scrum Team to deliver Features and Functionality for the Commerce Hub Platform Engage with cross-functional co-located teams in design, development and implementation of enterprise scalable features related to enabling higher developer productivity, environment monitoring and self-healing, and facilitate autonomous delivery teams. Develop developer Efficiency Tools (Focusing on Freeing up Development staff to focus on deliverables) Mentor junior members in the team Work collaboratively across team boundaries to share common capabilities. Ensure delivered solutions are optimized for ease-of-use, reusability, and scalability. Demonstrate expertise with architecting, managing, deploying and operating production infrastructure within a Cloud like Environment using Kubernetes and Pivotal Cloud Foundry What you will need to have: 8-10+ years track record of relevant work experience Should have hands on and good understanding on Cloud Infrastructure as Code and Cloud Native Application Development. AWS Certification Solutions Architect / Dev Ops Engineer is preferred Experience with n-tier web application development and experience in Spring Boot and Web Flux. Experience with Cloud Development Kit and or Cloud Formation or Terraform Experience with Kubernetes and other container management solutions Hands on experience in at least one of the programming languages such as Python or Java etc. Hands on experience in managing applications on AWS cloud. Experience in any managing api gateway like Apigee, Gloo, Kong, Api Six etc. Should have working experience with monitoring tools like Dynatrace, Splunk and/or any other monitoring tools/processes. Experience working in Agile environments. Experience coaching junior members in the team. 10+ years of previous Software Engineering experience or relevant consulting or military experience Bachelor's Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, or training or work experience. What would be great to have: Payment Industry Experience Cloud certifications from AWS/Google/Azure are a plus. Experience with Apigee API Management Platform
