Cloud Engineer - CREQ Description Job Title: Cloud Engineer (Multi-Cloud)

Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Cloud Engineer with comprehensive knowledge across multiple cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and GCP. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in cloud infrastructure design, implementation, and maintenance, along with proficiency in various automation and orchestration tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, and Jenkins. Strong programming skills in Python and a deep understanding of cloud solution design principles are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Multi-Cloud Management: Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and reliability.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop and maintain infrastructure as code templates using tools like CloudFormation and Terraform to automate the provisioning and configuration of cloud resources.

Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins for automated build, test, and deployment processes, ensuring efficient software delivery.

Scripting and Automation: Utilize Python scripting to automate routine tasks and streamline cloud operations, enhancing productivity and reducing manual effort.

Cloud Solution Design: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and architect cloud solutions tailored to meet business requirements, considering factors such as scalability, security, and cost optimization.

Issue Tracking and Collaboration: Utilize tools like JIRA and GitHub for issue tracking, project management, and collaboration with team members, ensuring timely resolution of issues and effective communication.

Version Control: Maintain version control of infrastructure code and application code using Git/GitHub, ensuring code quality, traceability, and collaboration among team members.

Cloud Platform Expertise: Demonstrate proficiency in various cloud services and offerings provided by AWS, Azure, and GCP, leveraging their capabilities to design and implement robust cloud solutions.

Operating Systems: Manage and support both Windows and Unix/Linux-based environments, ensuring system stability, security, and performance optimization.

Database Management: Configure and maintain databases in the cloud environment, ensuring data integrity, availability, and security.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience working as a Cloud Engineer or similar role, with expertise in multi-cloud environments.
Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, and GCP services and offerings.
Proficiency in infrastructure as code tools such as CloudFormation and Terraform.
Strong scripting skills in Python for automation and orchestration tasks.
Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins for automated software delivery.
Solid understanding of cloud solution design principles and best practices.
Familiarity with issue tracking and project management tools like JIRA.
Experience with version control systems such as Git/GitHub.
Knowledge of both Windows and Unix/Linux operating systems.
Experience with database management in cloud environments is a plus.
