Job Description:


We are in search of a proficient VMware L3 Engineer with deep expertise in VMware architecture, SRM (Site Recovery Manager), VSAN (Virtual Storage Area Network), and NSX technologies. As a VMware L3 Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining VMware infrastructure solutions within our organization. Your extensive knowledge will be instrumental in ensuring the resilience, scalability, and security of our virtualized environments.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Architecture Design: Develop robust VMware architecture designs tailored to meet our business needs. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient virtualization solutions.
  • Implementation and Configuration: Deploy and configure VMware infrastructure components including ESXi hosts, vCenter Server, SRM, VSAN, and NSX. Ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of VMware technologies across the environment.
  • Troubleshooting and Resolution: Provide expert-level support for VMware-related incidents and problems. Utilize advanced troubleshooting techniques to diagnose and resolve complex issues related to virtualization, networking, storage, and security.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor VMware environments proactively to identify performance bottlenecks and optimize resource utilization. Implement performance tuning strategies and capacity planning to maintain optimal system performance.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement security measures and compliance standards within VMware environments, particularly focusing on NSX for network security and micro-segmentation. Enforce security policies, access controls, and regularly conduct security assessments.


Required Skills and Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in VMware administration and engineering roles.
  • Proficiency in VMware virtualization technologies including ESXi, vCenter Server, SRM, VSAN, and NSX.
  • Strong understanding of VMware architecture design principles and best practices.
  • Experience with network virtualization and security technologies, particularly NSX.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex VMware-related issues.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Relevant certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP) and VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP) are preferred.
