We are looking for a talented NetLogo Simulation Expert to join our team and drive simulation-based research and development.
Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced NetLogo Simulation Expert to design, implement, and analyze simulation models for various complex systems. The ideal candidate will have expertise in agent-based modeling (ABM) and a deep understanding of how to use NetLogo for both academic and practical applications.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement agent-based models (ABM) using NetLogo for simulation projects.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate real-world systems into simulation models.Design and run simulation experiments to test hypotheses and explore potential solutions.Analyze and interpret simulation results, producing clear, actionable insights.Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver tailored simulation models.Optimize simulation models for performance and scalability.Prepare documentation, reports, and presentations for project deliverables.Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and techniques in simulation and agent-based modeling.
Key RequirementsProven experience with NetLogo and agent-based modeling (3+ years preferred).Strong understanding of complex systems, emergent behavior, and multi-agent simulations.Experience designing and conducting simulation experiments to solve real-world problems.Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting simulation outputs to drive decision-making.Familiarity with integrating NetLogo models with other software tools and technologies.Ability to write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work on interdisciplinary teams.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Nice-to-Have SkillsExperience with other simulation platforms like AnyLogic, SimPy, or Repast.Background in computational social science, economics, or environmental modeling.Familiarity with statistical analysis tools (e.g., R, Python).Knowledge of optimization and machine learning techniques.
EducationBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
