Job Summary:
The Head of Content will play a crucial role in designing, curating, and managing the educational content for our simulation platform. This role demands an in-depth understanding of criminal law, legal pedagogy, and content strategy to develop interactive and immersive learning modules. You will work closely with our legal experts, product developers, instructional designers, and tech team to produce educational simulations that meet academic and professional standards, ensuring the platform provides real-world legal experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Content Strategy & Development • Develop and implement a comprehensive content strategy for the platform that aligns with learning objectives, curriculum standards, and user engagement goals. • Design and create immersive, simulation-based learning modules in criminal law, including interactive case studies, mock trials, quizzes, and assessments. • Plan content that covers fundamental legal concepts, case procedures, court simulations, and scenario-based exercises for hands-on learning.
2. Legal Content Creation & Curation • Lead the development of educational content that simulates criminal law cases, including the drafting of of case scenarios, scripts for legal proceedings, and roleplay interactions. • Ensure all content is legally accurate, relevant, and adheres to the criminal law curriculum standards. • Work with legal experts and consultants to validate content for accuracy and compliance with legal principles and practices.
3. Interactive & Multimedia Content Integration • Oversee the integration of multimedia elements like videos, infographics, interactive visuals, and virtual courtrooms to enhance user engagement and learning e Pectiveness. • Collaborate with the product and design teams to incorporate application screenshots, animations, and dynamic elements that facilitate a realistic, immersive experience.
4. User-Centric Content Design • Design content that caters to varied user levels, from law students to practicing professionals, ensuring adaptability and relevance across di Perent expertise levels. • Gather user feedback and insights to continually improve content relevance, usability, and educational impact.
5. Collaboration with Product & Tech Teams • Work closely with the product, UX, and engineering teams to ensure content is seamlessly integrated into the platform and enhances the learning experience. • Participate in user experience testing and product development discussions to align content structure with technical capabilities.
6. Quality Assurance & Compliance • Establish and maintain rigorous quality assurance processes to ensure content accuracy, clarity, and compliance with academic and legal standards. • Continuously update and revise content to reflect changes in criminal law, legal practices, and educational requirements.
7. Team Leadership & Development Build and lead a team of content creators, legal consultants, and multimedia designers dedicated to creating high-quality, engaging legal learning content. • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment that encourages creative thinking, experimentation, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications: Education • Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) or a Master’s degree (LLM) specializing in criminal law is highly preferred. • Degree or certification in Content Strategy, Educational Technology, or Instructional Design is a plus.
Experience • 8+ years of experience in content creation, curriculum development, or instructional design, with a focus on legal education or criminal law.
Proven experience working with tech or Legal Tech products, especially those involving interactive or simulation-based learning. • Strong background in legal writing and the ability to simplify complex legal concepts for educational purposes.
Preferred: • Experience in a Legal Tech, Ed Tech, or e-learning environment with a focus on immersive learning. • Familiarity with content development tools (e.g., Articulate, Adobe Captivate) and project management software (e.g., Asana, Trello). • Strong research skills with the ability to stay updated on trends in legal education, instructional design, and criminal law.
