J. Job Overview:
- Seeking a highly motivated and experienced Global Sales Manager - New Business to join the team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, targeting, and converting new high-value accounts, developing and executing global sales strategies, and driving business growth in new markets. This role requires extensive travel to engage with potential clients and explore new business opportunities.
K. Key Responsibilities:
a) New BusinessDevelopment:
- Identify and targetnew high-value accountsfor business development.- Research and analyzepotential markets and industries for new businessopportunities.
b) Revenue Generation:
- Achieve and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets for new business.- Develop and implementstrategies to drive revenue growthin new markets.
c) Client Engagement:
- Build and maintainstrong relationships with potential clients.- Conduct on-site clientmeetings, presentations, and negotiations to secure new business.
d) Sales Strategy and Planning:
- Create and executeeffective global sales plans specifically for new businessdevelopment.- Conduct regular reviewsand adjustments of sales strategies based on marketinsights.
e) Travel and Field Engagement:
- Travel extensively to meet potentialclients in person,fostering stronger relationships and closing deals.- Attend industry events,conferences, and trade shows to network and generate leads.
f) Market and Competitor Analysis:
- Conduct thorough marketresearch to identifytrends and opportunities for new business.- Analyze competitor activities and adjust strategies accordingly.
g) Sales Team Collaboration and Training:
- Collaborate with the sales team to share insights and best practices for new business acquisition.- Provide training and support to team memberson strategies for acquiring new clients.
h) Product Knowledge and Industry Expertise:
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of logistics solutions and industry developments.- Stay updated on the latest product trainingand obtain relevantcertifications.
i) Sales Reporting and Forecasting:
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and regular performance reports to seniormanagement.- Ensure timely and comprehensive reporting.
j) Customer Feedback and Continuous Improvement:
- Gather feedback from new clientsto identify areas for improvement.- Implement actionable insightsto enhance the sales processand customer experience.
L. Qualifications:
a) Experience:
- Proven track record in global sales and new businessdevelopment, preferably in the logistics or supply chain domain.- Experience in managinghigh-value accounts and achieving sales targets.
b) Skills:
- Strong sales and negotiation skills.- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.- Ability to travelfrequently and work independently.- Proficient in sales management softwareand CRM systems.
c) Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or a relatedfield.- Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
e) Certifications:
- Relevant industry certifications are a plus.
