Position Purpose

•To handle the branch CSD Activities, Cash/Clearing & Trade operations.

 

Responsibilities  

OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT AND CONTROL:

•Handle CSD, Clearing, Cash, Trade and Remittance activities at the Branch, adhering to the applicable regulations, processes and procedures, thereby keeping a strict vigil on operational risk and being compliant on compliance and vigilance matters.

•To ensure a clean audit report, Concurrent, IG, RBI, Flying squad et al and close all the recos before the due date and ensure that no recurrence is observed

•To ensure that all reconcilable accounts - Nostro, suspense, sundry, transit, OMR et al are reconciled in time. Rigorous follow-up and clearance of the pending reco items if more than a week

•To avoid transactional errors and loss (actual or potential) to the Bank. To ensure that all incidents and client complaints are reported with full transparency in line with our internal guidelines and controls implemented to avoid the recurrence

•To ensure that Bank's guidelines are followed effectively

•To ensure that all daily commitment/transaction entries captured and expired commitments reversed promptly

•Branch procedures should be promptly reviewed and STORQM Reports to be reviewed daily and exceptions acted upon.

•Reconcile with Inward mail Register to ensure that there are no pending transactions at EOD.

•Ensure safe desk policy at all times

•Participate in BCP/Calt tree tests on time,

•Review access rights periodically

•Review Branch SOPs to align to approved internal practices.

•Ensure timely OCM controls, ORUS & BEACON signoffs

•Bring Direct contribution to Banks operational permanent control framework.

•Minimize operational failure, including but not exclusively the risk of fraud by helping to devise and implement sufficient regular controls

•Ensure appropriate escalation to management and/or permanent control (or compliance as appropriate) as soon as an issue is identified.

•Comply with internal and external regulatory and compliance requirements

•Think Smart and be risk averse. Come forward to share best practices for other Branches and implement strong controls.

•Comply with the Banks IT Security policies.

 

Client Service & Focus CSD Activities

•To ensure that all the daily transactions are monitored for same day, error-free completion in co-ordination with relevant stakeholders.

•Be available for clients to act as their partner and advisor

•NIL pending / delayed transactions on daily basis at the Branch

•Client delivery and advisory for their satisfaction - focus on global TATs than Branch TAT

•NIL / minimal client complaints and incidences

•Effective coordination ensuring seamless Client onboarding, amendment and closing.

•Coordinate Clients' account management and daily monitoring tasks with due liaising with RM, Ops & Client

•Active contribution/facilitation in credit documentation for Corporate Clients

•Responsible for document execution and document safe keeping

•Credit administration - credit line implementation, drawdown, prepayment, rollover, accounts administration

 

Achieve Productivity Objectives and Savings, Achieve Process Efficiencies by innovating

•Support Management through sustained productivity increase and implementation of Global /regional initiatives such as TOM / lean project etc.

•Innovations suggested in process improvements within the branch to improve the client TATs and satisfaction.

•Effective co-ordination with other stake holders for process improvements

•Support and encourage job rotations between teams to increase staff awareness / exposure / networking within ITO + to break silo between teams and increase multitasking skills

•Systematic implementation of use of Lync (video) between staff to achieve quicker closure of questions and issues rather than email exchanges thereby reducing friction between people and improve overall timeframe.

•To encourage staff to innovate to improve automation and reduce paper & electricity consumption

 

MISC. JOBS: 

•Assist in any other job requirements as assigned by the Branch Manager from time to time. In case of absenteeism, act as a back-up to the official handling other areas/functions

 

Education Level:  Bachelor Degree or equivalent (3 years)

 

Experience Level:  At least 12 years
