Position Overview:

We are currently seeking an Associate Partner to play a pivotal role in supporting the M&A Firm's UK and US divisions. As an integral member of our team, you will collaborate with external partners to deliver comprehensive M&A services, fractional CFO solutions, and advisory support. The successful candidate will possess a strong finance background, exceptional client management skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, client-focused environment.

Responsibilities:

Partner Support Services:

  • Act as a primary point of contact for external M&A firm partners, offering support and guidance on various aspects of their engagements.
  • Assist partners in conducting due diligence, financial analysis, and valuation for M&A transactions.
  • Provide expertise in deal structuring, negotiation strategies, and transaction execution to help partners achieve successful outcomes for their clients.


Fractional CFO Services:

  • Offer strategic financial guidance to clients of external partners, serving as a trusted advisor on matters such as budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Assist in optimising financial operations, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and implementing effective financial controls for clients.
  • Collaborate with external partners and their clients to develop tailored financial strategies aligned with business objectives and industry best practices.

Advisory Support:

  • Conduct market research and industry analysis to identify growth opportunities and strategic initiatives for clients of external partners.
  • Assist in evaluating investment opportunities, assessing risks, and developing financial models to support decision-making processes.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to external partners and their clients based on financial analysis and industry expertise.
  • Remaining abreast of evolving market dynamics and regulatory frameworks to provide informed guidance and strategic insights to external partners and their clients.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, demonstrating a deep understanding of their business goals and client needs.
  • Understanding and addressing client needs proactively.
  • Act as a liaison between our firm and external partners, facilitating communication, resolving issues, and ensuring high levels of satisfaction with our support services.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver seamless support and value-added solutions to external partners and their clients.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Mentor and coach junior team members, providing guidance on client management, financial analysis techniques, and best practices for supporting external partners.
  • Contribute to the professional development of the team through knowledge sharing, training sessions, and skill-building initiatives.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, excellence, and continuous improvement within the support services team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • Significant experience in investment banking, corporate finance, M&A advisory, or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of financial analysis, valuation techniques, and deal structuring principles.
  • Proven track record of successfully supporting M&A transactions and delivering strategic financial advice to clients.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with external partners.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to analyse complex situations, identify opportunities, and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with a passion for mentoring and developing talent.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
  • Proficiency in financial modelling, Microsoft Excel, and other relevant software tools.
  • Commitment to upholding the highest ethical standards and compliance with regulatory requirements.
