Artificial Intelligence Engineer


Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Artificial Intelligence Engineer to join our team and create intelligent AI combatants for an exciting and dynamic battle game. These AI combatants will compete against one another with the primary goal of defeating their opponents in strategically complex environments.

 

Key Responsibilities:

•  AI Development and Training: Develop and train AI combatants using deep reinforcement learning techniques to ensure they evolve and become more intelligent over time.

•  Map Understanding: Design AI algorithms that enable combatants to understand and navigate static predefined maps efficiently, learning and improving their strategies with each iteration.

•  Advanced Interaction: Create complex interaction models for AI combatants, enabling them to learn from their opponents, adapt to different strategies, and form alliances when necessary.

•  Algorithm Design: Implement learning algorithms that facilitate the evolution of AI behaviors, ensuring continuous improvement in their combat and strategic capabilities.

•  Performance Optimization: Optimize AI performance to ensure smooth and efficient gameplay, minimizing computational overhead while maximizing strategic depth.

•  Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with game designers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand and implement desired features and improvements in the AI system.

•  Testing and Iteration: Continuously test AI combatants in various scenarios to identify weaknesses and areas for improvement, iterating on the design to achieve optimal performance.

•  Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of AI development processes, algorithms, and training procedures to ensure clarity and reproducibility.

 

Key Requirements:

•  Proficiency in Deep Reinforcement Learning: Demonstrated expertise in deep reinforcement learning, including experience with deep Q-learning and other advanced AI model training techniques.

•  Game AI Development Experience: Prior experience in developing AI for games, with a strong understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in this domain.

•  Strategic and Map Navigation Skills : Strong capabilities in designing AI that can navigate complex maps and make strategic decisions based on the environment and opponent actions.

•  Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts and requirements with team members and stakeholders, ensuring a clear understanding of project goals and progress.

•  Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address issues in AI behavior and performance.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

•  Advanced Degree: A degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field.

•  Portfolio of Previous Work: A portfolio demonstrating successful AI projects, particularly those involving game development and deep reinforcement learning.

•  Knowledge of Gaming Platforms: Experience with various gaming platforms and development environments, such as Unity.
