Turbo Shaft Engine and Helicopter Design Unit under the ADYPU DRIF. We are looking for an expert in turbo shaft engine design to help develop cutting-edge propulsion systems for rotorcraft applications.

Key Responsibilities:

- Turbo Shaft Engine Design:- Design, develop, and optimize turbo shaft engines for helicopter applications, focusing on performance and energy efficiency.- Apply AI-driven techniques, such as generative design, to optimize components like compressors, turbines, and casings for weight reduction and structural efficiency.- Thermal and Structural Simulations:- Perform simulations for heat dissipation, stress analysis, and operational performance under various conditions.- Use advanced simulation tools such as ANSYS Fluent and COMSOL Multiphysics.- R&D and Prototyping:- Conduct research on propulsion systems, integrating AI tools into the design workflow.- Oversee the development and testing of prototypes to validate designs.- Collaboration and Integration:- Work with interdisciplinary teams in areas such as materials science and mechanical engineering to enhance engine capabilities.

AI Tools and Technologies:

- Generative Design: Tools like Autodesk Generative Design and Siemens NX to create optimized, lightweight designs for engine components.- Thermal and Structural Simulations: AI-driven analysis using ANSYS Fluent and COMSOL Multiphysics for enhanced accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications:

- Educational Background:- Bachelor. or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field with expertise in propulsion systems.- Experience:- Minimum of 3–5 years in turbo shaft engine design or development.- Proven experience in using AI-driven tools for aerospace applications.- Technical Expertise:- Advanced knowledge of turbo shaft engine principles, thermodynamics, and aerodynamics.- Proficiency in simulation and generative design tools such as ANSYS Fluent, COMSOL Multiphysics, Autodesk Generative Design, and Siemens NX.- Familiarity with aviation standards and helicopter propulsion challenges.- Preferred:- Experience in developing sustainable propulsion solutions.- Contributions to industry-sponsored or government-funded research projects.
