Job Description: To have a good understanding of design of gears, transmission shafts and other mechanical elements of Gearbox / Diff Assembly / eAxle.
To have a good understanding in the area of mechanical design and development, hands-on Catia software is required.
To participate in the team for the design and development of products, systems and components related to EV Driveline (EDU, eAxle etc.) as well as working to improve the performance and efficiency of existing products, and may have to provide support for new-business.
Design calculations understanding for gears, bearings, shafts and other mechanical components used in Gearbox, Power calculations.
Develop detailed engineering specifications to the component level for all gearbox components - gear, shafts, bearings, housing, lubrication system, material selection, heat treatment or other secondary processing.
To Prepare and participate in DFMEA and problem solving methods to resolve issues arising at test bed, product development gates and field deployment.
Exposure to gearbox design and mandantory knowledge of tools such as Kiss Soft / Romax / Masta will be an added advantage.
Knowledge of Major Gear Manufacturing processes like Hobbing, Shaping, Shaving, Grinding, and Honing.
Knowledge of Gears standards such as DIN, ISO, AGMA is a must.
Qualification:
Graduation in relevant domain (Mechanical Engg) with gearbox design & development experience of 4-10 years, especially EV transmission and EV powertrain systems.
Knowledge of GD & T & Tolerance Stack up.
Experience in Masta Software
Experience in Engineering BOM preparation and releases through PLM systems
Must be a good communicator with good presentation skills.
Must have worked on one of the mechanical analysis software like Ansys
Has passion to build the products and be a good team player.
Have experience working with CFT’s
Able to conduct the supplier design reviews for component development.
