We're looking for a talented textile designer to join our team and help elevate our brand through innovative fabric patterns and prints.


Job Description:

As a Textile Designer at Instinct First Streetwear, you will:

  • Create unique fabric designs:  Develop original patterns and prints for our streetwear collections, ensuring they align with our brand identity and aesthetic.
  • Collaborate with the team:  Work closely with the apparel designers, product development team, and marketing department to create cohesive and impactful designs.
  • Research trends:  Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in textile design, color theory, and materials to ensure our products remain fresh and relevant.
  • Design for production:  Prepare detailed design specifications and collaborate with manufacturers to ensure accurate production of your designs.
  • Experiment with materials:  Explore and experiment with various fabrics, textures, and techniques to create innovative textile designs.
  • Maintain brand consistency:  Ensure all textile designs adhere to our brand guidelines and maintain a consistent look and feel across all products.


Requirements:

  • Experience:  Minimum of 1 year of experience in textile design, preferably within the fashion or streetwear industry.
  • Skills:  Proficiency in textile design software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, CAD).
  • Creativity:  A strong creative vision with an understanding of streetwear culture and trends.
  • Technical Knowledge:  Strong understanding of different types of textiles, printing techniques, and pattern development.
  • Portfolio:  A compelling portfolio showcasing your textile design work, particularly in apparel.
  • Communication:  Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Attention to Detail:  Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics and visual composition.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Fashion industry experience:  Background in designing textiles specifically for streetwear or fashion brands.
  • Knowledge of sustainable materials:  Experience working with sustainable and eco-friendly fabrics and materials.
  • Advanced technical skills:  Proficiency in advanced textile design techniques and software.
