What are we solving for in the Indian Administrative Fellowship?

Indian Administrative Fellowship (IAF) is an 18-month fellowship program for senior private sector talent to work closely with the government to catalyse innovation and transformation of public systems, by extending the reach and efficiency of large scale government programs, under the guidance of senior civil servants.


Roles & Responsibilities:

At The/Nudge, you will be a part of the monitoring & evaluation team and play an instrumental role in evaluating the effectiveness of the interventions within IAF program and communicating the impact of the program to different stakeholders, and creating knowledge on what is working and not working in the program.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Creating, validating and refining the program’s theory of change.
  • Designing the frameworks for research studies on the measurement of
  • outcomes/impact for projects within the IAF program
  • Review of secondary literature/frameworks for designing impact studies.
  • Analyzing the data and creating reports on impact studies.  
  • Calculating the SROI/value for the investment in the program.
  • Communicating about Impact to different stakeholders.

We are looking for someone who has :

  • Master’s or a higher degree (focus on developmental studies, public policy, rural development, management, economics is preferred) or a bachelors with at least 5-7 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong background in data analysis (must be comfortable in applying statistical concepts like hypothesis testing, regression analysis)
  • Prior experience in designing research studies. (quantitative)
  • At least a basic understanding of M&E methods. 
  • An interest in impact evaluation
  • Is able to work independently
  • Is able to think critically and come up with different hypotheses
  • Is comfortable with both qualitative and quantitative types of research.
  • Is able to understand academic literature and translate it into action.


Good to Have:

  • Prior experience/knowledge of impact assessments
