PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Creating and developing architectural designs for new hotel projects or renovations. This involves collaborating with other departments such as interior design, engineering, and landscaping to ensure the overall coherent design of the property.
  • Ensuring that all architectural designs comply with local building codes, zoning laws, and other regulatory requirements. The head architect must also ensure that the designs meet the standards set by international architectural and hospitality associations.
  • Collaborating with the project management team to develop and manage the architectural budget. This includes estimating the costs of materials, labor, and other architectural expenses, as well as finding cost-effective solutions without compromising on quality.
  • Monitoring the construction process to ensure that architectural designs are implemented according to plan. This involves coordinating with contractors, architects, and designers to resolve any design or construction issues that may arise.
  • Incorporating sustainable and environmentally friendly design practices into the architectural plans, encompassing aspects such as energy efficiency, waste reduction, and the use of eco-friendly materials.
  • Designing spaces that enhance the overall guest experience, including public areas, guest rooms, and leisure facilities. The head architect should be mindful of creating a visually appealing and functional environment that aligns with the hotel's brand and service offerings.
  • S taying updated on the latest architectural trends, technologies, and materials to ensure that the hotel's designs are innovative, efficient, and technologically advanced.
  • Collaborating with various stakeholders, including owners, developers, consultants, and contractors, to ensure that the architectural vision aligns with the overall project objectives and timelines.
  • Identifying potential architectural risks and providing proactive solutions to mitigate them. This includes anticipating future needs and potential disruptions to ensure the long-term viability of the architectural designs.
