Position summary:
We are seeking a Jira Administrator with 3 to 5 years of experience in managing, configuring, and customizing Jira instances. Responsibilities include workflow automation, integration with DevOps tools, troubleshooting, and user support. Must have expertise in Script Runner (Groovy), REST APIs, Jira Automation, JQL, and enterprise tool integration. Preferred qualifications include Atlassian certifications and familiarity with Agile methodologies and cloud deployments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Jira Administration:
- Configure, manage, and maintain Jira instances, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Manage Jira projects, workflows, permission schemes, notification schemes, and issue types.
- Perform upgrades, installations, and troubleshooting of Jira and related Atlassian tools.
- Implement and manage Jira Service Management (JSM) for ITSM processes.
- Jira Development & Customization:
- Develop custom Jira workflows, post-functions, conditions, and validators using Script Runner, Groovy, and REST APIs.
- Automate Jira processes and workflows using Jira Automation, scripting, and add-ons.
- Create and maintain Jira dashboards and reports using JQL, eazyBI, and third-party plugins.
- Integrate Jira with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps tools, and third-party applications.
- Design and develop custom Jira plugins as needed to enhance functionality.
- Integration & Support:
- Integrate Jira with Confluence, Bitbucket, Git, Slack, ServiceNow, and other tools.
- Support end-users, troubleshoot issues, and provide training on Jira best practices.
- Collaborate with IT, DevOps, and Engineering teams to optimize workflows and productivity.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in Jira administration and development.
- B.E/B.Tech degree in computer science, Information Technology, or Masters Cybersecurity.
- Strong understanding of Jira Core, Jira Software, and Jira Service Management (JSM).
- Hands-on experience with Script Runner (Groovy), REST APIs, and automation tools.
- Proficiency in JQL (Jira Query Language) for reporting and data extraction.
- Experience integrating Jira with DevOps, CI/CD, and other enterprise tools.
- Familiarity with Atlassian ecosystem (Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo, etc.).
- Knowledge of database management (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and basic Linux commands.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
