Function Overview

The Digital and Technology team at General Mills stands as the largest and foremost unit, dedicated to exploring the latest trends and innovations in technology while leading the adoption of cutting-edge technologies across the organization. Collaborating closely with global business teams, the focus is on understanding business models and identifying opportunities to leverage technology for increased efficiency and disruption. Purpose of the role

The Digital and Technology team of General Mills India Centre is looking for looking for someone with relevant experience in Kubernetes Administration. You should have prior experience in platform engineering and automation or willing and learn new technologies and framework. Primary responsibilities include operational excellence, consultation, optimization and implementation.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Building, securing, monitoring & management of Kubernetes clusters on Google Cloud Platform. Migration of the applications from IIS to Kubernetes in collaboration with the multiple stakeholders. Use IAC(Terraform) to provision/support the platform engineering business needs. Implementing/troubleshooting/upgrading / patch tools in the DevOps platform to support custom developed applications (.NET core). Setting up CI/CD pipelines using the tools like Jenkins & GitHub Actions, experience of Jenkins pipelines migration to GitHub Actions is a plus. Setting up Monitoring and implement observability using Datadog & Google Operation Suite Design and implement Disaster Recovery strategies for tech stack in DevOps, ex: GKE. Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements by automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery for greater scalability and resilience. Provide consultation and collaborate with stakeholders from the Application Development, testing and other teams and support their Platform Engineering needs. Comply with audit and other reporting requirements. Installing/ configuring/ supporting IIS on Windows OS using automation (Powershell-DSC) Manage SSL Certificate lifecycles. Participate in the transformation process by identifying the likely approaches and platforms that will be used.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Overall 7+ Years of experience in DevOps space, 3 to 4 years strong hands on experience on in Kubernetes/GKE/AKS Administration. Thorough hands on experience on GCP and services like Compute, Containers, Storage, Network, Database, Load Balancer, etc. Experience in implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins (Groovy script) / GitHub Actions. Experience in platform maintenance and administration with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GutHub Actions, Artifactory, Vault in a cloud environment. Experience working with infrastructure as code such as Terraform, or equivalent. Excellent troubleshooting skills in dynamic environments. Creating automation in the deployment process using multiple tools (Jira, Jenkins, Terraform, and other automation scripts) Experience with concepts, processes & tools required for cloud adoption including cloud security, governance, and integration. Experience with agile techniques and methods. Working experience on DevOps, Agile development processes, exploration and POCs Working well collaboratively across functional team boundaries. Familiarity with Agile methodologies & modern Software Engineering principles.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Must have good understanding & hands-on experience of Kubernetes Administration. Basic understanding of programming language and Framework (.Net / Java/Python). Experience working with high availability, disaster recovery, backup strategies and server tuning strategies including parameters, resources, contention, etc. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment. Candidate should be flexible, reliable, can take initiative, can deal with responsibility, and have a "can do" mentality.
