Job Overview
Role: Sr. Infrastructure Engineer – Hosting
Location: Mumbai

We have exciting opportunity for platform Engineers to work with General Mill’s various Advanced Digital Transformation teams and partner to achieve required business outcomes by transforming, simplifying, integrating and managing our services in cloud.

We are looking for someone with relevant experience in Kubernetes Administration. You should have prior experience in platform engineering and automation or willing and learn new technologies and framework.Primary responsibilities include operational excellence, consultation, optimization and implementation.

Role Responsibilities

• Use IAC(Terraform) to provision/support the platform engineering business needs.
• Implementing/troubleshooting/upgrading Platforms to support custom developed applications (.NET core)
• Expertise on Kubernetes Administration (GKE/Anthos).
• Planning the installation, upgrades & configurations of above products in Google Cloud Platform.
• Setting up CI/CD pipelines and support them.
• Setting up Monitoring and implement observability using Datadog & Google Operation Suite
• Design and implement Disaster Recovery strategies for owned tech stacks.
• Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements by automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery for greater scalability and resilience.
• Provide consultation and collaborate with stakeholders including the Application/Data Developers, Data & Business teams and support their Platform Engineering needs.
• Comply with audit and other reporting requirements.
• Installing/ configuring/ supporting IIS on Windows OS using automation (Powershell-DSC)
• Manage SSL Certificate lifecycles.

Technical Competencies
• Lead cultural change for adoption of new technologies.
• Develop and coordinate workflow strategy.
• Own the technical/product road map for GMI Hosting Platform
• Participate in the transformation process by identifying the likely approaches and platforms that will be used.
• Review upgrade/migration/modernisation projects.
• Translation of strategy and architecture into a highly available and secure technical implementation, in accordance with best practices
• Continuous support of, and collaboration with, other data engineers, developers, data and analytics teams and projects.

Must - have technical skills and experience

• Kubernetes Administration (GKE/Anthos), Docker
• Scripting Languages: Python, Bash, PowerShell
• Terraform (cloud) to provision resources.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills in dynamic environments.
• Experience of working on with services provided by Google Cloud platform or any other cloud provider – Kubernetes, networks, compute, Firewalls, Serverless platforms.
• Experience of working with Git, GitHub actions, GitOps, Argo CD
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies & modern Software Engineering principles
• Load balancing and Clustering concepts

Good to have technical skills

• Experience in other cloud platforms (Azure)
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to automate mundane activities.

• Strong aptitude to learn and passion for problem solving.
• Excellent communication skills in coordinating with different stakeholders.
