Mission

As a Senior Manager, Platform Engineering, you will lead our platform team, overseeing infrastructure, DevOps, and ensuring the robustness and scalability of our platform.
Responsibilities
- Leadership and Management:
- Lead and manage the platform engineering team, providing mentorship and guidance to ensure the growth and development of team members.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including development, QA, and operations to understand requirements and implement technical solutions.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates, gather feedback, and address concerns.
- Infrastructure Management and Automation:
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure (preferably Azure) using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices for scalability, reliability, and automation.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery, testing, and deployment processes.
- Implement containerization and orchestration solutions (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) to enhance application scalability and maintainability.
- Platform Development:
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable backend services and APIs using technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, and Node.js.
- Ensure the integration of robust monitoring and logging solutions to maintain the health, performance, and availability of infrastructure and applications.
- Collaborate with security teams to implement security controls and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- System Design and Architecture:
- Participate in system design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical standards.
- Ensure the implementation of microservices architecture and other modern design principles to enhance system scalability and reliability.
- Performance Optimization and Troubleshooting:
- Oversee the troubleshooting, debugging, and optimization of code to ensure the performance and security of applications.
- Utilize logs and metrics to identify performance bottlenecks and optimize system performance.
Skills Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of hands-on experience in software development, building infrastructure with a strong background in Java and Spring Boot.
- Proven experience in leading and managing engineering teams.
- Strong proficiency in cloud platforms, particularly Azure, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture and system design principles.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Azure Monitor.
- Understanding of security principles and best practices in cloud environments, with experience implementing security controls and compliance standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in SaaS, Fintech, or Financial Services industries.
- Familiarity with multi-cloud environments.
- Strong project management skills and experience with Agile methodologies.
