Role DescriptionAs the Senior Researcher at LIGHTS, your role is pivotal. You will be responsible for conducting research, writing chapters for the book, and accessing libraries and institutes for archival data. Your expertise in analyzing narratives and using oral history to augment your arguments will be crucial. You will also collaborate with other team members, contributing significantly to the book's original attempt at encapsulating India's history in a hitherto unexplored area.

This is an on-site role based in New Delhi.

QualificationsA PhD (submitting or submitted) in

Modern History, Social Geography or Sociology

is a must.You will need:Vital research and analytical skillsExcellent writing skills in EnglishKnowledge of diverse academic fieldsAbility to work independently / collaborate with a teamExperience in publishing

Salary RangeINR 40,000 (submitting PhD) to INR 50,000 (PhD submitted)
