Summary:

This individual will play a critical role as a technical leader within our Engineering org in shaping and supporting our company vision, day-to-day operations, and culture. They are accountable to define, design, and implement the strategic direction of test automation and a comprehensive end to end testing approach for entire technology stack: Front end, API Layer, and data layers. They will provide guide others in utilizing Agile (SAFe, Scrum) and Quality Engineering practices to streamline product delivery and reliable operations of products.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Play a critical role as a technical leader within our Engineering org in shaping and supporting our company vision, day-to-day operations, and culture
  • Define, design, and implement the strategic direction of test automation and a comprehensive end to end testing approach for entire technology stack: Front end, API Layer, and data layers
  • Create repeatable methods and best practices to assess, measure and communicate the overall quality metrics of each project / release(s)
  • Collaborate closely with engineering leads and institute quality engineering operating mechanisms to support our quality, performance, and scalability goals
  • Establish a high performing, inclusive engineering culture focused on innovation, execution, growth, and development
  • Collaborate closely with cross functional teams e.g.: Product, DevSecOps, Site Reliability, Observability & Support Operations
  • Encourage innovation and foster an environment of continuous improvement
  • Provide guidance and apply Agile (SAFe, Scrum) and Quality Engineering practices to streamline product delivery and reliable operations of products.


Required Work Experience:


  • 12+ years of overall software engineering experience
  • Last 6+ years in Quality Engineering
  • A strong track record of crafting a comprehensive test automation strategy across entire tech stack
  • Experience with automation tools like Cypress, Selenium, Java Rest Assured etc.
  • Experience with build automation and continuous integration tools like: GitLab CI, Jenkins or Maven
  • Must have experience in cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Experience with behavior driven development; Cucumber or similar
  • Demonstrated experience in hiring, building teams and retaining top talent, establishing scalable and sustainable test automation architecture and quality engineering best practices
  • Experience supporting an organization through digital transformation initiative.
  • Establishing key metrics for QE across the organization.
  • Experience working in a matrix organization and on an Agile Scrum model.
  • Effective communication (oral and written) skills including problem solving, prioritizing and interpersonal relationship building.


Skills : Cypress, API Testing, GitHub Copilot, Selenium, GitLab CI/CD, Maven, Java, JavaScript, BDD, TDD, Postman, SoapUI, SAFe Agile.


People Leader Responsibility:

Will approx. 6-7 have direct reports and lead the team of 20+ external workers.


Required Education :

Bachelor’s degree in computer science/Information Systems or related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience


Competencies :

Strategic Agility, Influencing Skills, Collaboration, Critical Reasoning, Motivating Others, Strong Technical skills to mentor and coach team.
