Job Description For Sr. IT Engineer (Network & Security)

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior IT Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate shall have a strong background in Cisco Networking Devices, Firewall, WiFi Management, Video Conferencing Solutions, Compliance Handling, MDM and other security tools.

Exotel powers unified customer engagement to over 6000 companies in 60+ countries, including India, SE Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.

Today, some of the fastest-growing companies in the emerging markets (Ola, Swiggy, Flipkart, GoJek, Byjus, Urban Company, HDFC Bank, Zomato, Oyo, etc.) manage their customer engagement with Exotel's suite of a communication API, Ameyo's omnichannel contact centre (merger), and Cogno AI's conversational AI platform (acquisition) over the cloud. We are a $100 million Series D funded company with $60 million in ARR.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain Linux-based systems, ensuring high levels of performance, availability, and security.
  • Configure and manage Cisco switches and WiFi infrastructure to ensure optimal network performance and reliability.
  • Oversee video conferencing solutions, including setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Handle compliance requirements, including audits and ensuring adherence to relevant standards and regulations.
  • Deploy and manage security tools, such as MDM, AI-based XDR, SIEM, and DLP solutions, to protect the organization's IT assets.
  • Implement and manage Single Sign-On (SSO) technologies to streamline authentication processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement IT solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior IT staff members.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to ensure the organization's IT infrastructure remains secure and efficient.
  • Macbook management and troubleshooting.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or higher certification is required.
  • Proven experience in managing Cisco switches and WiFi infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of video conferencing solutions (Zoom, Microsoft Teams).
  • Experience in handling compliance requirements and audits.
  • Hands-on experience in deploying and managing security tools.
  • Familiarity with Single Sign-On (SSO) technologies (Okta, Azure AD).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Linux certification (e.g., Red Hat Certified Engineer, LPIC) is required.
  • Certification in Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate or higher is preferred.
