About The Opportunity

We are looking for a Head/VP of Engineering to join us in our adventure to usher the world into a privacy centric era where users have full agency over their data and its manifestation across all ‘verses. 

You'll shape the protocol development, refine the privacy preserving computation architecture, enhance scalability, and fortify security with a highly performant and passionate team. ZK-Proofs, FHE, TEE are more than privacy buzzwords to you. L1/L2/L3 are not ladder levels in your dictionary. Building robust engineering systems gives you a high. 

We like to say, the ideal candidate will have 10+ years of professional experience, including a high-growth startup environment, and 3+ years of people management experience.  But then again it is not the years that matter but what you did in those years that count. 


In this role, you will:

  • Be part of the leadership team to set clear priorities and goals for engineering management and production, balancing the long-term and immediate needs
  • Represent the company as a key member of the leadership team with employees, customers and investors
  • Act as technical lead to stand-up the MVP offering with a mix of hands-on expertise, contract resources, and off-the-shelf software with an eye to future evolution to more scalable solutions
  • Design, grow and lead a team of developers and engineers, establishing and maintaining standards and regimens that will scale from $0 to $1M and $1M to $5M and beyond
  • Keep a pulse on industry trends  to inform the company’s development stack and related technologies so that engineering stays current and competitive
  • Manage strategic vendor and technology partner relationships

What We Look For In You

  • Master's degree or PhD. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go (or Rust), Solidity.
  • Ability to distill complex technical concepts and roadmaps into simple, high-level diagrams and designs that can be easily understood by cross-functional teams.
  • Hands on knowledge of modern software engineering: languages, frameworks, techniques, and industry trends (DevOps, APIs, AI, etc)
  • Experience developing and launching user-facing platforms and robust distributed systems
  • Proven experience in blockchain platforms like Ethereum, Cosmos, EVM or Webassembly virtual machines with a strong understanding of blockchain concepts, consensus algorithms, and cryptographic principles.
  • Technical experience building in crypto, blockchain and or web3 ecosystem and in-depth knowledge of smart contract development tools and frameworks (e.g Truffle, Remix, Web3.js), secure libraries like OpenZeppelin, and external platform/infrastructure APIs like Infura, Alchemy, or Moralis etc.
  • Experience building or working at a start-up or scale-up company that has grown at a rapid scale.
