Main Responsibilities

  • Understanding of database architecture, normalization, and schema design.
  • Creating scalable and efficient database architectures.
  • Writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts.
  • Optimize queries and improve database performance.
  • Working with developers, analysts, and administrators to integrate databases with applications.
  • Performing regular backups, updates, and troubleshooting issues.
  • Monitor system performance and ensure infrastructure security, identifying and resolving potential risks promptly.
  • Work closely with development and operations teams to troubleshoot issues, ensuring system reliability and continuous availability.
  • Update support and operational documentation as required
  • Ensure good Change management practice is implemented as specified by central standards.

Requirements and Skills:

  • Proven 8+ years work experience with systems like Microsoft SQL Server
  • Familiarity with tools like SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services)
  • Experience with Git or other source control tools.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based databases on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience with code and version control systems such as Git.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD and available tools
  • Experience with Azure DevOps and understanding of Agile methodologies.
