Job Title: Head – Sr. Manager - Finance & Accounts - Gas Business West Africa
Location: Noida, India (with travel to West African countries)

Solen DMCC - Equitane Entity Overview: Solen DMCC, an Equitane entity, specializes in the development of Power, Solar, and Gas infrastructure projects in West Africa. Our Gas segment focuses on developing crucial infrastructure projects including Natural gas pipelines, LNG storage & Distribution, CNG compression facilities, and retro-fitment infrastructure projects across West African countries such as Cotonou Benin, Lome Togo, Nigeria, Republic Of Congo, and Ivory Coast.
Role Overview: We are seeking a visionary finance & account professional with over 10 years of experience to lead our finance and accounts department for the Gas Business in West Africa. Reporting directly to the CFO, the Head – Sr. Manager will play a critical role in shaping the financial strategies and ensuring the financial health of our Gas Business operations in the region.
Responsibilities:
Taxation: Oversee tax studies for new business geographies and ensure regular tax and statutory compliance across all regions.
Budgeting: Develop project budgets and prepare Annual Operating Plans (AOPs), monitoring them on a month-to-month basis.
Project Finance: Coordinate with the Central Project Finance team and potential lenders, including financial modeling and preparation of Project Information Memorandums (IMs).
Financial Management: Monitor quarterly projected cash flows for fund release from lenders, manage SAP implementation for new entities, and review day-to-day accounting activities.
Reporting & Compliance: Prepare MIS reports, finalize annual financial statements, and coordinate with auditors. Ensure compliance with existing SOPs or design new ones as required.
Asset Management: Oversee asset capitalizations, vendor/customer reconciliations, LCs/BGs management, and control over prepaid and expense payable GLs.
Expense Management: Monitor and control all African regional office and manpower expenses, including consolidation of accounting reports and monthly expenses.
Regulatory & Pricing Analysis: Stay updated on the latest regulatory guidance, industry best practices, and developments. Analyze financial and commercial aspects of gas sourcing, pricing, pipeline, LNG, distribution, and alternative fuels.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. MBA/CA preferred.
Minimum 10 years of experience in finance & accounts, preferably in the gas industry or infrastructure projects.
Strong understanding of taxation, budgeting, project finance, and financial modeling.
Experience with SAP implementation and proficiency in MIS preparation.
Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to engage stakeholders effectively.
Proven track record of driving results, innovation, and managing multi-entity, multi-geography settings.
Willingness to travel to West African countries as required.
