Founding AI and Backend EngineerBe the Technical Backbone of FreightX’s Revolution (A stealth mode - T3RA Logistics Spinoff company)The RoleAs our Founding AI and Backend Engineer, you’ll architect scalable systems that power our AI-driven platform, enabling 10x efficiency in freight management. From carrier selection to claims processing, you’ll build automation that transforms a 100-person job into a lean, 10-person operation. With significant equity and a clear path to leadership, this is your chance to own the tech stack, grow a world-class team, and redefine logistics.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop agentic AI pipelines with tools like Pydantic, Langchain/LangGraph, CrewAI to automate carrier matching, scheduling, tracking, PODs, lumper/detention approvals, invoicing, and claims.Design and build backend systems using Node.js, Python, and React to integrate AI workflows for end-to-end freight automation.Own DevOps (CI/CD, AWS/GCP/Azure, Docker/Kubernetes, monitoring) to ensure reliable, scalable systems with >98% on-time performance.Innovate on AI features like predictive analytics and anomaly detection to minimize manual oversight.Collaborate on full-stack features, ensuring seamless frontend-backend-AI integration.Recruit and mentor a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation.Tackle ambiguous challenges, rapidly prototyping and deploying solutions.Shape strategic tech decisions to align with emerging AI trends and logistics needs.Requirements4-5 years of backend engineering experience, with 2+ year in agentic AI (e.g., autonomous agents, workflow orchestration).Expertise in Node.js, Python, React, Pydantic, Langchain and DevOps tools (Terraform, Jenkins, Prometheus).Proven ability to thrive independently in fast-paced, startup environments.Leadership DNA: Passionate about mentoring and building teams.Enthusiasm for AI-driven logistics and a “figure it out at all costs” mindset.Bachelor’s/master's in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.What We OfferVested Equity: Significant ownership in a high-potential stealth startup.Leadership Growth: Fast-track to leading our engineering org as we scale.Autonomy & Impact: Own the tech stack in a flat, collaborative team.Competitive Package: Attractive salary, benefits, and remote flexibility.Thrilling Culture: Join an elite, passionate team solving a trillion-dollar problem.Ready to Shape the Future of Freight?If you’re fired up to build game-changing tech and lead the logistics revolution, we want you.
