Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented
Manager – Procurement / Purchase
to manage and optimize our sourcing operations. The ideal candidate should bring
up to 5 years of relevant experience
, particularly in the
agriculture industry, exports, or procurement houses
. This role requires collaborating with Sales, identifying and negotiating with suppliers, coordinating samples, and ensuring competitive and compliant procurement practices to support international trade operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead Qualification & Coordination

  • Work with the Sales team to understand buyer requirements (product specifications, quality standards, packaging, shipment terms, destination, and volumes).

2. Supplier Identification & Management

  • Source, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers in the agriculture and allied sectors.
  • Build and maintain strong vendor relationships with both local and international suppliers.

3. Quotation & Pricing Strategy

  • Collect and negotiate quotations to secure competitive pricing.
  • Ensure accurate costing aligned with Incoterms (EXW, FOB, CIF, etc.) and buyer expectations.

4. Sample & Quality Management

  • Coordinate sampling process: collection, testing/verification, dispatch to buyer, and follow-up.
  • Work with QA teams to ensure compliance with buyer and export quality standards.

5. Market Research

  • Track agricultural commodity trends, pricing, and supplier market shifts for better negotiation and sourcing strategies.

6. Documentation & Compliance

  • Ensure accurate maintenance of procurement records, supplier contracts, quotations, and compliance with
    export/import documentation
    .

7. Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate with Sales, Logistics, and Quality teams for smooth execution of buyer orders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in
    Supply Chain Management, Agriculture, Business Administration, International Trade
    , or related field.
  • Up to 5 years of experience
    in procurement/sourcing, preferably in
    agriculture industry, export operations, or procurement houses
    .
  • Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
  • Working knowledge of
    Incoterms, international trade documentation, and logistics
    .
  • Proficient in
    Excel, procurement tools/software, and professional email communication
    .
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.

  • Exposure to agricultural commodities, packaging, or FMCG products.
  • Ability to manage multiple supplier interactions under tight deadlines.
  • Commercially astute with strong decision-making skills.
  • Detail-oriented and process-driven with proactive follow-up ability.
