JOB DESCRIPTION


  • The CISO shall be responsible for driving and ensuring compliance to the extant regulatory instructions on information/ cyber security.
  • The CISO shall be facilitating development of information security policies, implementation of information security policies, standards and procedures to ensure that all identified information security risks are managed within the Company’s risk appetite.
  • The CISO shall be approving and monitoring major information security projects and the status of information security plans and budgets, establishing priorities, approving standards and procedures.
  • The CISO shall be supporting the development and implementation of information security management programmer.
  • The CISO shall be reviewing information/ cyber security incidents, various information security assessments, monitoring and mitigation activities across the company.
  • The CISO shall be reviewing security awareness programes.
  • The CISO shall be assessing new developments or issues relating to cyber/ information security.
  • The CISO shall be doing conduct testing of completed applications, websites, and software to Assess user experience.
  • The CISO shall be responsible for articulating and enforcing the policies that company uses to protect its information assets apart from coordinating information/ cyber security related issues/ implementation within the Company as well as with relevant external agencies.
  • The CISO shall be an invitee to the IT Strategy Committee and IT Steering Committee.
  • The CISO shall ensure that current and emerging cyber threats to the financial sector and the Company’s preparedness in these aspects are discussed in ISC and other related Committees.
  • The CISO shall shall manage and monitor the Security Operations Centre (SOC) and drive cyber security related projects in co-ordination with the SVP-ICT/Head of IT Operations (as required).
  • The CISO shall coordinate the activities pertaining to Cyber Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT) within the Company.
  • The CISO shall develop cyber security KRIs and KPIs.
  • The CISO shall have a robust working relationship with Chief Risk Officer (CRO) to enable a holistic risk management approach. To this effect, the CRO may be invited to ISC meetings. CISO may be a member of (or invited to) Committees on Operational Risk where IT/ Information Security risk is also discussed.
  • The CISO shall place a separate review of cyber security risks/ arrangements/ preparedness of the Company before the Management/ Board level Committee on a quarterly basis.
  • Ensure effective staff training programs are in place to increase security awareness across the company. Ensure activities related to BCP-DR and Emergency operations are performed in timely manner and prepare test reports.
  • Besides of all the above responsibilities CISO will have to complete the tasks given by his supervisors time to time.
  • Single point of contact for ICT department with Statutory Auditors, internal auditors for all kinds of audits.
  • Coordinate with Banks and other partners on answering the questionaries' and maintain, share all evidences with the auditors.


Qualification:-

Bachelor/Master’s degree in computer science/information technology + CISA certified

Experience:-

Experience of working at senior position in cyber-Security/Information Security Department of Middle size NBFC/NBFC-MFI/Banks with minimum of 10-15 years of relevant experience.

Experience of working at the position of CISO/Next to CISO in MFIs/NBFCs/BANKs/SFBs
