Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Agriculture Sales Manager to oversee and expand our agricultural product sales in the Andhra Pradesh region. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agriculture sales, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of achieving targets and building customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy and Execution
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve regional sales targets.- Identify and explore new market opportunities for agricultural products.
Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team to achieve individual and collective sales goals.- Conduct regular training sessions to improve team performance and product knowledge.
Market Development
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with farmers, distributors, and dealers.- Organize farmer meetings, demonstrations, and promotional activities to drive product awareness.
Revenue Growth
- Monitor sales performance and ensure revenue growth in the assigned region.- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to adjust sales strategies.
Customer Relationship Management
- Provide excellent service and support to customers, ensuring long-term partnerships.- Address customer queries and resolve issues promptly.
Reporting and Analysis
- Prepare and submit regular sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis to senior management.- Evaluate sales data and identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.- Minimum 5 years of experience in agricultural sales, preferably in fertilizers, seeds, or agrochemicals.- Strong knowledge of the agriculture market and farmer needs in Andhra Pradesh.- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.- Proven ability to lead a team and achieve sales targets.- Proficiency in using CRM tools and MS Office applications.- Fluency in Telugu and English is required; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.- Willingness to travel extensively within the region.
