We collaborate with our development teams in science, mechanical and electrical engineering, physics, and geoscience to develop innovative softwarePartner with the bestAs a Senior Build & Release Engineer, you'll take ownership of the development process, ensuring the continuous improvement of code. You will engineer and develop versatile products and services for the energy industry.As a Build and Release engineer, you will be responsible to:Owning builds, releases and continuous integration process for large and complex releases of a product and at times expands the scope across multiple concurrent releases.Owning, managing and improving release process. Focusing on scale and efficiency. Deploying the right builds across environments.Managing Microsoft Azure cloud resources (allocating, monitoring, troubleshooting)Managing and optimizing configuration management processes to ensure consistency across development, testing, and production environments.Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including development, QA, and operations, to plan and execute successful software releases.Have detailed knowledge of version control systems like ProGet, Visual SVNHave basic understanding of modern software development tools and technology stack (.NET, Angular /Node.js, Visual Studio).Have detailed understanding of virtualization concepts and tools (Hyper-V, System Center, Docker, Kubernetes).Managing key deliverables and mentors junior team members.Contributing in driving initiatives such as defining standards and processes to ensure quality.Working cross functionally with other business departments to align activities and deliverables.Developing and enhancing the test infrastructure and continuous integration framework used across teams.Determining best practices and principals and promoting them across the team.Demonstrating expert knowledge in developing and executing automated builds and scripts..Working with developers and stakeholders to deliver quality software through the build and deployment system.Partnering with and provides direction to fellow team members to diagnose bugs and formulate solutions.Using industry best practices to improve Build, Release and Continuous integration processes.Fuel your passionTo be successful in this role you will:Have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math), with minimum 8 + years of professional experience.Have proven experience as DevOps/Release and Build engineer.Have experience in Github, Jenkins, TFS and Ant, etcHave strong background in software development with proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell).Have extensive experience with build tools (e.g., Jenkins, TeamCity) and version control systems (e.g., Git).Have hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).Have knowledge of configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet).Being familiar with IaC tools such as Terraform.Have experience in implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.Work in a way that works for youWe recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too.
