Job Description : Non Negotiable Skills/Asks/Experience Needed
Senior Build and Release manager experience in a global organization. Ability to support India and US hours including Europe in between.
The Senior Build and Release Engineer needs to have experience with supporting applications that have services-based architectures; strong communication skills, and a motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and maintain automated build and deployment pipelines to streamline the software release process.
• Manage and optimize configuration management processes to ensure consistency across development, testing, and production environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, QA, and operations, to plan and execute successful software releases.
• Administer and enhance version control systems, ensuring proper branching and merging strategies are in place.
• Implement and enhance CI/CD practices to achieve faster and more reliable software releases.
• Utilize IaC principles to manage and automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration.
• Implement monitoring solutions to detect and resolve build and deployment issues promptly.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for build and release processes and best practices.
• Work closely with development teams to understand their requirements and provide support for optimizing the build and release processes.
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Build and Release Engineer in a senior or lead role.
• Strong background in software development with proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell).
• Extensive experience with build tools (e.g., Jenkins, TeamCity) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet).
• Familiarity with IaC tools such as Terraform.
• Experience in implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Desired Characteristics:
• Technical engineer with extensive experience in solving challenging issues in high pressure environment
• Excellent communicator, works well in a team environment, and welcomes challenges
• Self-starter with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced work environment
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills demonstrated the ability to assimilate the latest information and understand complex topics
• 2+ years of experience in Real Time Applications
• Must be committed to customer service and ability to work in team-oriented environment
• Global support experience
• Oil and Gas experience is desired

• Strong business analysis and problem-solving skills
• Proactively engages with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and design solutions using critical thinking and analytical skills and best practices
• Ability to interact at all levels of the organization and with other Baker Hughes businesses
