As a leading hospital with a focus on excellence and patient-centric care, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Finance Manager to join our dynamic team. The Finance Manager will play a vital role in ensuring the hospital's financial health, managing budgets, and optimizing financial processes.
Job Summary:
As the Finance Manager for Motherland Hospital, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities and ensuring the hospital's financial sustainability. Your primary objective will be to maintain accurate financial records, analyze financial data, and provide strategic financial recommendations to support informed decision-making by the hospital's leadership team. You will be a key player in optimizing financial performance, budgeting, and cost control while complying with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Develop and manage the hospital's financial budgets, forecasts, and projections.
- Conduct thorough financial analysis and present reports to the senior management team.
- Identify key financial indicators, trends, and opportunities to support data-driven decision-making.
2. Budget Management:
- Collaborate with department heads to create and monitor departmental budgets.
- Monitor variances between actual financial performance and budgeted amounts.
- Implement cost-saving measures without compromising the quality of patient care.
3. Financial Reporting:
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulatory standards, and internal policies.
4. Cash Flow Management:
- Manage the hospital's cash flow and maintain adequate working capital levels.
- Optimize revenue cycles, including billing, collections, and accounts receivable.
5. Audit and Compliance:
- Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and ensure timely completion.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting requirements.
6. Financial Strategy:
- Collaborate with the hospital's leadership team to develop long-term financial strategies aligned with the organization's goals.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to drive financial growth and stability.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Proven experience (5+ years) as a Finance Manager or similar role in the healthcare industry, preferably in a hospital setting.
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare finance, including healthcare reimbursement models and medical billing processes.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis.
- Excellent understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-finance professionals.
- Strong leadership capabilities and the ability to motivate and inspire a finance team.
