Fund Accounting : Fund Accounting is handled by an external firm – the candidate would have to oversee the functions of this firm which includes accounting processes for the fund, capital calls, distributions, tracking investor contributions, preparing quarterly and annual financial statements, managing bank reconciliations, managing quarterly reporting to LPs, and ensuring meticulous accuracy and adherence to relevant accounting standards.Portfolio Company MIS : Managing and analyzing MIS for portfolio companies to provide strategic insights that support the investment team.Audit and Valuation Coordination : Facilitating annual audit processes and coordinating valuation engagements with external consultants.Legal Compliance : Ensuring the timely submission of regulatory filings and adherence to financial regulations and statutory guidelines.Other Finance Functions : Engaging in a variety of financial activities, including cash flow monitoring, involvement in financial diligence aspects as part of investment evaluations, and supporting ad-hoc financial projects as needed.
QualificationsWe prefer candidates with experience primarily in audit. Experience in the Big 4 accounting firms and familiarity with valuations is a plus.Current CA articled trainees who are in the 2nd year and eligible to pursue industrial training are encouraged to apply.Strong command of accounting principles and financial analysis methodologies.Highly proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently. Interest and exposure to VC and start-up eco-system is a plus.Must be based in Mumbai.
