Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled AWS SysOps Administrator to manage and maintain our AWS cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AWS services, system administration, automation, monitoring, and security best practices. You will be responsible for ensuring high availability, performance, and security of cloud-based applications and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deploy, manage, and monitor AWS infrastructure, including EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, IAM, and other AWS services.
  • Configure and maintain automation tools such as AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK.
  • Monitor system performance using AWS CloudWatch, AWS Config, and third-party monitoring tools.
  • Implement security best practices using AWS Shield, AWS WAF, IAM policies, and security groups.
  • Manage backups, disaster recovery, and high-availability strategies.
  • Troubleshoot system issues, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient incident response.
  • Optimize cost and performance of cloud resources.
  • Support DevOps pipelines and CI/CD workflows using AWS Code Pipeline, AWS Lambda, and automation tools.
  • Implement logging and auditing solutions using AWS CloudTrail and centralized logging mechanisms.
  • Collaborate with development, security, and support teams to ensure smooth operation of cloud applications.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in AWS cloud administration or system operations.
  • Certifications (Preferred): AWS Certified SysOps Administrator Associate or equivalent.

  • Technical Skills:

  • Strong experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, etc.).

  • Hands-on experience with automation tools (CloudFormation, Terraform, or Ansible).
  • Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python, or PowerShell).
  • Experience with Linux and Windows system administration.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts (DNS, Load Balancers, Firewalls, VPNs).

  • Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards (ISO, SOC, HIPAA).

  • Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS ECS/EKS).
  • Experience with database administration in AWS (RDS, DynamoDB, Aurora).
  • Exposure to DevOps tools like Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of AWS cost optimization strategies.
