Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Home Automation Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will hold a diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering and possess hands-on experience with KNX and other wired and wireless home automation protocols . As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for the installation, wiring, and maintenance of home automation systems, ensuring smooth integration of various smart devices within residential properties. The Job requires travel within Kerala & Nearby states. The candidate must be proficient in Malayalam.
Roles & Responsibilities
Installation & Wiring : Perform electrical wiring, setup, and installation of home automation devices and systems, including lighting control, security systems, climate control, entertainment devices, and more.
System Integration : Assist in integrating wired (e.g., KNX , Modbus , DALI ) and wireless (e.g., Zigbee , Z-Wave , Wi-Fi ) automation protocols into cohesive smart home solutions.
Troubleshooting & Maintenance : Diagnose and resolve technical issues with automation systems, ensuring that all devices are functioning as expected. Provide ongoing maintenance and upgrades as needed.
Programming & Configuration Support : Assist with programming and configuring home automation systems, including control panels, switches, sensors, and actuators, ensuring seamless system operation.
Client Interaction : Support clients with the setup and operation of their home automation systems, providing training on the usage of devices and answering any technical questions.
System Testing & Commissioning : Conduct on-site testing of installed systems to verify that all devices are integrated and functioning correctly. Assist with the final commissioning of the systems.
Compliance & Safety : Ensure all installations and maintenance work comply with local electrical codes, safety standards, and best practices.
Documentation : Assist in creating clear documentation and wiring diagrams for system installations and configurations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or a related technical field.
Proven hands-on experience in electrical wiring , installation , and maintenance of home automation systems.
Solid understanding of KNX and other wired (e.g., Modbus , DALI, Buspro ) and wireless (e.g., Zigbee , Z-Wave , Wi-Fi ) automation protocols.
Familiarity with home automation devices such as smart lighting systems , climate control units , security cameras , and entertainment systems .
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
Hands-on experience with tools and equipment for electrical installation and maintenance.
Basic understanding of networking concepts (e.g., IP addressing, routers, switches) related to home automation.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot both hardware and software issues.
Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and the project team effectively.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
