Job Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Home Automation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, with hands-on experience in home automation systems, including expertise in KNX and other wired/wireless automation protocols. This role will involve designing, implementing, troubleshooting, and maintaining home automation solutions to create seamless, integrated systems for residential properties. This role requires travel within Kerala & near by states and the candidate must have proficiency in Malayalam and English.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Design & Installation: Plan, design, and install automation systems for residential properties, including lighting, climate control, security, entertainment, and other smart home technologies.
  • System Integration: Integrate various automation protocols, including KNX, BusPro,Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, and other wired/wireless systems to ensure seamless communication between devices.
  • Programming & Configuration: Program and configure home automation devices, including central control panels, sensors, switches, and actuators.
  • Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Diagnose and resolve issues related to home automation systems, ensuring functionality and performance optimization.
  • Client Consultation: Work closely with clients to understand their automation needs and provide tailored solutions that enhance the functionality, efficiency, and convenience of their homes.
  • System Testing & Commissioning: Conduct testing, calibration, and commissioning of installed systems to ensure proper operation and integration.
  • Documentation: Create detailed technical documentation for system installations, programming, and troubleshooting processes.
  • Stay Current: Continuously stay updated with the latest trends, technologies, and advancements in home automation and smart home products.


Required Skills & qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Science Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience in the design, installation, and maintenance of home automation systems.
  • Strong expertise in KNX automation protocols and other wired (e.g., Modbus, DALI) and wireless (e.g., Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth) communication standards.
  • Hands-on experience with home automation equipment such as lighting control systems, smart thermostats, security cameras, audio/video systems, and environmental controls.
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals (IP addressing, routers, switches) and cloud-based automation solutions.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with clients, vendors, and team members.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment.
