Job Description

Position – Executive / Sr. Executive (Procurement)

As a Team Member in Procurement and Supplier Management, you will play an essential role in supporting the efficient procurement of products and services, as well as managing MIS to ensure the optimal performance of the function. This role requires a combination of procurement skills, supplier communication, procurement data analysis and a solid understanding of the IT landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing and executing procurement strategies for products and services to ensure cost-effectiveness and alignment with organizational goals.

• Collaborate with the Manager Procurement and stakeholders to identify and evaluate potential suppliers.

• Analyze the spend data and procurement MIS in coordination with Manager Procurement for devising strategies.

• Participate in the supplier selection process, evaluating potential suppliers for technical capability, financial stability, and reputation.

• Identify potential suppliers, negotiate prices, payment & contract terms.

• Support the management of supplier relationships, including regular communication and monitoring of supplier performance.

• Assist in ensuring suppliers meet contractual obligations and deliver products / services on time and within budget.

• Help monitor and control procurement expenses, contributing to cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.

• Assist in conducting cost-benefit analyses for procurement decisions and tracking budget allocations.

• Ensure procurement activities follow relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.

• Maintain effective communication with various stakeholders, including relevant teams, senior management, and suppliers.

• Assist in preparing reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and cost-saving initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in SCM field from Tier I/ II Business School.

• Minimum 2 to 3 years prior experience in procurement and supplier management.

• Go-getter attitude and strong MIS analytical skills

• Basic knowledge of products, services, and industry trends.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively.

• Hands-on experience working on SAP or Oracle is an added advantage.

• A strong willingness to learn and develop procurement skills.
