We are seeking a highly skilled Senior L3 Application Support Engineer in Bangalore to join our elite team. This is a unique opportunity to become the ultimate authority for a complex and fascinating technology landscape, bridging the gap between robust legacy systems (AS/400) and modern applications (Java, .Net, APIs). Your Impact & Responsibilities:

  • Become the Final Authority: Act as the ultimate escalation point for diagnosing and resolving the most complex application incidents. You are the last line of support.
  • Master of Monitoring: Leverage advanced monitoring tools like Dynatrace and IBM Monitoring to proactively identify issues, perform deep-dive log analysis, and conduct thorough Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
  • Bridge Technology Worlds: Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for both our core AS/400 platforms (RPG, COBOL, DB2) and our modern application stack.
  • Drive Permanent Solutions: Partner closely with Development, Infrastructure, and Business teams to move beyond temporary fixes and implement robust, permanent solutions.
  • Champion Knowledge: Develop and refine our knowledge base by creating clear, concise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that empower the entire support organization.

What You'll Bring to the Table:

  • Proven Experience: 7+ years in a high-pressure Application or Production Support role.
  • Elite Problem-Solving Skills: An exceptional ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex, intermittent, and critical issues.
  • Legacy System Mastery: Deep, hands-on expertise with the AS/400 operating system, including RPG, COBOL, DB2, and CL.
  • Modern Tech Proficiency: Good working knowledge of applications built on Windows, .Net, Java, and experience supporting APIs.
  • Database & Monitoring Skills: Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with enterprise monitoring tools.
  • Exceptional Communication: The ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Previous experience in software development (.Net, Java).
  • A solid understanding of networking concepts.
  • Experience supporting applications hosted in private cloud environments (MPI/POD).
  • Knowledge of any other scripting languages.
